The Effect of Job Satisfaction of the Aged Self-sufficiency Program Participants in Seoul on the Willingness for Self-sufficiency: Mediating Effects of Self-efficacy

The purpose of this study is to understand the effect of job satisfaction of self-sufficiency programs on the willingness for self-sufficiency, and verify the mediating effect of self-efficacy in the relationship. To achieve the research objectives, a survey of 271 participants from the local self-sufficiency center in Seoul was conducted, and in the analysis a data from 150 the aged participants was used. Descriptive analysis, Independent Sample t-test and Multiple-regression analysis was utilized to test research effectiveness. Main results of the analysis are as follows. First, when the research model was tested, it was found that job satisfaction of self-sufficiency program participants had a positive influence on self-efficacy. Second, it was found that job satisfaction of self-sufficiency program participants had a positive influence on the willingness for self-sufficiency. Third, it was found that job satisfaction of self-sufficiency program participants had a positive influence on the willingness for self-sufficiency. The mediating factors of self-efficacy was found to have part-mediated effects. Based on the results, we provided effective suggestions to improve job satisfaction, self-efficacy, the willingness for the aged self-sufficiency of program participants.
